About FanFan Zhang (she/her/hers) is a Postdoctoral Scholar at UW in the Department of Bioengineering. Fan received her Ph.D. degree in Fiber and Polymer Science under the direction of Dr. Martin King at North Carolina State University, engineering immunomodulatory biomaterials for tissue-engineered vascular graft. Her work bridges several facets of regenerative medicine, including biomaterial engineering, scaffold design, regenerative immunology and vascularization. Fan’s current research focuses on understanding the mechanism underlying biomaterial-induced vascular network formation and designing biomaterials that promotes vascularization in engineered tissue.
