Susana Simmonds is a graduate student in the Department of Bioengineering at UW. She received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where she developed and characterized temperature-responsive polymeric nanoparticles for the delivery of osteoinductive small molecules in Dr. Nicholas Peppas's lab. Susana is currently interested in 3D imaging and quantification of human liver tissues to develop anatomically-accurate bioprinted liver constructs.
